Starting a family gave my life a clear motivation, driving me to push forward with a greater purpose. It wasn’t just about working a job anymore—it was about creating a future for the people I love and a legacy I could be proud of.
There was a period in my life when I didn’t know the right path for me. I tried lots of things, from waiting tables, and bartending to selling lawn mowers—each job teaching me something new, but none truly ignited a passion. I gave college a shot, excelling in classes that interested me but still feeling disconnected, searching for something that was fulfilling.
That changed when I met Katianne. From the start, we were both clear about what we wanted—a family and stability. Suddenly, I had a reason to push myself forward. She gave me the purpose I had been looking for and lit the fire I needed to build a life, a future, and something lasting.
My dad has always been a huge inspiration. He left home at 15, worked his way up in the restaurant business to owning his own restaurant, and eventually transitioned into real estate in his 40s, earning his GED to get licensed. He never was one to go the traditional route, and it taught me that it’s never too late to start over or change direction. I had gotten my real estate license at 19, but it wasn’t until after meeting Katianne that I began to see real estate as a true path forward.

As my own family grew—with four kids, Hank, Clementine, Andy, and Magnolia—so did my career. I moved from running the brokerage with my dad to working independently with Keller Williams, a decision that significantly shaped my growth as a REALTOR®. I shifted my focus to serving fewer clients but at a much higher level, offering them personalized service that truly made a difference. This approach helped my business grow while allowing me to find balance between work and the family. Seeing my relationships grow with my children mirrored what I believe is our calling to be in relationship with God. We are called to a greater purpose and live abundantly in Christ.
I’ve learned that having so much to live for doesn’t eliminate challenges, but it does give me a strong reason to keep fighting through them. Since I was a kid, I’ve had kidney disease. At 16, I had my first transplant with my mom as the donor, followed by a second at 27, and now I’m on the list for a third. If you had told me back then that I’d be running a business, staying present as a husband and father, all while managing this, I wouldn’t have believed it. But when you have so much to live for, you find a way to make it work. I’ve never let this define me, and if anything, it’s only made me stronger, giving me an even clearer sense of purpose and direction for the future.

Outside of work, I’ve been focusing on my health, staying active, and eating clean. Real estate has given us the freedom for Katianne to stay home with our kids and for me to be present for the small and big things like dropping them off at school, being involved with All Saints Christian Academy, and going to Hank’s soccer games. There’s so much I’m grateful for, and in the coming years, I plan to keep pushing forward, building, and living with purpose.
In real estate, I focus on providing exceptional service to both sellers and buyers. When working with listings, I have an efficient system, Listing Launch, applying the best strategies to ensure everything runs smoothly and successfully. But I also love working with buyers, especially during pivotal life transitions like growing a family or relocating. No matter who I am helping, I’m committed to making sure my clients feel supported and confident every step of the way. My approach is about delivering personalized, attentive service tailored to each client’s needs.
What sets me apart is my ability to simplify complex situations and offer clear, actionable guidance. I take the time to listen to each client’s goals and I work to empower them to make informed decisions that feel right for their future. It’s not about telling people what to do; it’s about helping them feel confident and excited about their choices. Even after the transaction is over, I remain a trusted resource as your REALTOR® for life, here for anything you may need!
Sincerely,
Justin Steel
